bus stop

bus stop

All flights were canceled yesterday, and I came home to my own bed again. How powerless I feel when I’m on an airplane that is getting ready for take-off or landing, but there is so much about my life that I have absolutely no control over. One day while I was on an elevator in a hospital with a valet attendant, I made a casual remark to him about the miserable weather that day, trying to superficially empathize with his vocation. He didn’t even look at me, just kept looking straight ahead and with a stern resolve told me, “We must accept it.” My luggage made it to Denver yesterday, but I did not (shouldn’t it be the other way around?). Will I catch up with my luggage today? I don’t know. The outcome is beyond my power to control. I must accept it.
