a gust of wind blew out to sea

There have been 7 hurricanes this year so far, the strongest being hurricane Ike which ended its rein about 30 days ago today. I love the fact that we have the ability to trace the origins of this hurricane all the way back to an easterly wave that left the coast of Sudan on August 19’th to its last breath in the Labrador Sea on September 16’th. Pretty soon, with a better satellite, we’ll be able to trace the origins of hurricanes all the way to a small child beating a pot with a wooden spoon or perhapse a butterfly beating its wings near a rush of wind that fell from a cloud that once was a small pocket of snow near the Labrador Sea that was once a hurricane from a previous era. Do you think so? I mean, we try to do this with the history of art and literature, so why not hurricanes?
